Returns & Refund Policy – Designer Handle
At Designer Handle, we take great care to ensure all products meet our quality standards. If an issue arises with your order, please follow the process outlined below.
Notification of Defects
If you receive goods that appear to be defective or damaged, you must notify us within 2 days of delivery or collection.
If the defect or damage was not apparent upon delivery or collection, you must notify us within 3 days from discovery. This discovery period will be with in the return window of 14 days.
When contacting us, please include:
• Your order number
• A clear description of the issue
• Clear photographs of the affected area
Once a claim is submitted, Designer Handle will require the goods to be returned for inspection before any repair, replacement, credit, or refund is considered.
No replacement, refund, or alternative item will be issued until the goods have been returned and received by us.
Inspection & Resolution of Defective Goods
After inspection, if the goods are found to be defective, Designer Handle will, at its sole discretion:
• Repair or rectify the defect and return the same item
• Provide a replacement item (if repair is not possible)
• Issue a refund or credit note for the invoice value of the goods
Please note that a replacement is not guaranteed. If the item can be repaired to a satisfactory standard, it will be repaired and returned rather than replaced.
Any repair, replacement, refund, or credit issued after inspection constitutes full and final settlement of the claim.
Returns of Non-Defective Items
Returns of non-defective goods are accepted at the discretion of Designer Handle within 14 days of purchase, subject to the following conditions:
• Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in packaging suitable for resale
• Products showing signs of use, alteration, installation, or damage after delivery cannot be accepted
• All returns must be pre-authorised by our team before shipping items back
Return Shipping
Faulty or Damaged Items
If the item is confirmed to be defective or damaged upon inspection, Designer Handle will provide a prepaid return label.
Non-Fault Returns
For all other returns (including incorrect orders, change of mind, unsuitable items, surplus stock, refused deliveries, or unclaimed shipments), the Buyer is responsible for:
• All return shipping costs
• Providing a valid tracking number for the return shipment
Approved non-defective returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
This fee also applies to:
• Refused deliveries
• Unclaimed shipments
• Returns caused by incomplete or incorrect delivery details provided by the Buyer
The restocking fee does not apply to items confirmed to be faulty or damaged upon inspection.
Refunds (where applicable) will only be processed once returned goods have been received and inspected by Designer Handle.
Custom or Special-Order Products
Products that are:
• Made to order
• Customised
• Specially manufactured for the Buyer
are non-returnable and non-refundable, except where confirmed defective upon inspection.
In such cases, Designer Handle reserves the right to repair or rectify the item rather than replace or refund it.
Refund Processing
• No refund will be issued for goods that have not been returned
• Refunds are processed only after goods are received and inspected
• Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing
Delivery Charges
Local and international delivery charges are non-refundable.
Where free delivery was applied to local orders, the following amounts will be deducted from the refund:
• Up to 2kg: £5.49 + VAT
• Up to 5kg: £8.49 + VAT
• Up to 10kg: £11.49 + VAT
• 11kg and above: £14.49 + VAT
For oversized items (50cm or more in length or width), shipping is charged volumetrically:
• Initial charge: £29.99 + VAT for up to 5kg
• Additional weight: £1.50 + VAT per additional kg
Limitation of Liability
Designer Handle’s liability is limited strictly to the value of the goods supplied.
We are not liable for:
• Indirect losses
• Incidental or consequential damages
• Installation or labour costs
• Travel expenses
• Delays in delivery
• Product compatibility issues
• Any losses arising from discrepancies or third-party handling
