In order for this lock set to comply with BS3621 insurance ratings it MUST be fitted with the security escutcheons supplied.
You would generally select this type of lock for exterior doors, when an insurance rated lock is required. The cylinder and turn ensures a fast exit without the need for a key and is ideal for hotels and guest houses.
This set is intended for use on standard external quality doors (45mm thick) and as such is not suitable for use with standard internal quality doors (35mm thick), as it comes supplied with 70mm cylinders and turns.
If you require euro profile sash locks for standard internal doors (35mm thick) you would need to select an ESS50 lock case, together with a suitably sized cylinder or cylinder and turn and euro profile escutcheons.
Supplied complete with both forend and strike plates (although not shown on image)
This lock contains through bolt holes either side of the spindle hole, which enable use of the through bolts supplied with our lever on rose handles.
