The hole must be good fit to the cylinder edges. Third step: Fitting the lock together You should use a narrow drill bit to make the holes more suitable for screws fixing. Fit the mounting plate to the inside of the door. Pass the cylinder through the door from the out side to get the edge of the measuring bar against the instructions of the manufacturer. Cut the bar to the right size with a hacksaw. Forth step: finishing Fit the lock together and fix all the screws on the back side of the door. Check the key either if it works or not.
